Orlando called Raine again even
though he was sure his only option would be to leave another message asking or
rather begging her at this point, to call him back.
When he was done he tossed his cell
phone aside then banged his fist against the steering wheel of his car in
frustration. He'd already gone by her apartment twice then spent most of the
afternoon calling her friends while driving around hoping to find her but with
no luck.
"Okay man think. If you were
Raine....where the hell would you be right now?", he mumbled after checking
his watch. Then after a brief moment he came up with a possible answer. As
Orlando drove on, he thought about the events that caused the worst argument
he'd ever had with his girlfriend.
At the party they'd gone to the
night before, there had been too many guests consuming way too much alcohol,
including Orlando. Raine who had been mingling, watched from across the room
in disbelief as a woman tapped him on the shoulder and when Orlando turned to
face her she gave him a kiss.
To make matters worst they were
still kissing when Raine reached them so she gripped the woman's forearm, non
too gently, and pulled her away but regardless of the rough gesture the woman
just threw her head back and laughed before walking away.
As she then glared at Orlando in
his defence he tried explain that the woman had literally been going around in
a drunken stupor kissing everybody, even the female guests and the only reason
he'd kissed her back was because of the "festive state" he was in.
"Festive...?", she
stressed through her teeth, "Don't you mean wasted? And that's no excuse for
making a fool out of yourself....OR ME!!!"
Overlooking the foul mood Raine was
in, Orlando took a step closer and tried to put his arm around her but she
just pushed it away. "Aw...come on loosen up! We're suppose to be here to have
a good time R-Rainey!", he slurred before hiccuping her name.
Raine's eyes began to burn with
tears of anger. She was tempted to snatch the drink he was holding and throw
it in his face but didn't. She suddenly thought of doing something better. "So
you want me to loosen up huh? Alright."
Orlando immediately got an uneasy
feeling in the pit of his stomach as he watched her quickly scan the room
before sauntering up to a very attractive man.
Throwing her arms around his neck,
Raine pressed her body against her "new friend" in a more than friendly manner
before looking in Orlando's direction and sticking her tongue out at him.
"Hey! That's not what I meant!", he
stated as he swayed over and pulled them apart just as the guy's hands were
sliding down to grab her ass.
This ensued a heated discussion
between the couple as they left the party. The argument continued in the car
and escalated in front of Orlando's house. When all was said and done
Raine sped away in her car crying as Orlando staggered towards his front door
repeatedly cursing at the ground because it wouldn't stop shifting beneath his
feet.
The next morning he refrained from
calling figuring that since he really hadn't done anything wrong, he'd wait
until she called to apologize for overreacting. But by noon and no word from
Raine, he found himself banging on her door prepared with an I'm sorry speech
after admitting to himself just how much he'd hated seeing someone else put
their hands on her, drunk or not and that made him clearly understand how she
must have felt when he'd been caught kissing another woman.
When Orlando arrived at his house he
chided himself for not having thought of checking his place sooner and sighed
with relief when he spotted her car in his driveway.
Once inside he slowly removed
his sunglasses after noticing that his sofa was buried beneath a large number
of shopping bags. After a quick peek in several of them he was amused to find
that most of the stuff she'd bought was for him.
"I should've guessed you'd be maxing
out your credit card after what happened last night.", he thought with a
slight laugh because she always said that shopping made her forget her
problems if only for a little while.
Steering towards the bedroom door,
Orlando opened it. Squinting into the darkness he saw her still form lying in
the middle of his bed and if he wasn't mistaken, wearing one of his t-shirts
and hopefully nothing else underneath. Without hesitation he quickly removed
his clothing and crawled into bed also.
Raine woke up with a swift rush of
arousal as a shadowed figure eagerly stroked her slumbering body. She moaned
then gasped when his hands slipped down to her thighs, abruptly pulling them
apart before positioning himself between them.
"I'm sorry Raine, you had every
right to be angry.", he murmured, nuzzling into her neck before kissing it
repeatedly. "Forgive me?"
"Mmm....hmm. But you have to promise
not to over do it again when you drink.", she replied sternly, raking her
fingers through his untameable hair. "I swear you turn into such an
insufferable beast when you do."
Orlando chuckled then slowly slid
his long length in deep, his hips thrusting rhythmically hard against her soon
after. "And when I'm sober? What am I then?", he panted in a low growl.
"You're an insatiable
beast.....and......Oh....yes......yes.....", she trailed off as her
body responded to his rising passion and the memory of last night's incident
quickly faded from her mind.
e assured him before she handed him a pair of goggles and skated off. Then
after about a half hour or so they both made it to the sofa........but not to
take a nap this time. ;)
