Chapter 2

Orlando’s first sighting of Tess that morning almost caused him to drive off the road.  As he rounded the corner he started to pull up to the kerb and he casually looked over to the front of the building to be greeted by the sight of Tess lying on the wall.  As he was too busy looking at her bare tanned stomach he forgot to watch what he was doing for a moment and ended up over correcting but not before his front tyre skipped up onto the footpath.  He quickly reversed the car back off before getting out to go around to the passenger side as Tess came towards him smiling brightly.

As she walked down the path Orlando looked at her admiringly and again could not believe how lucky he was that she was interested in him.  Tess was dressed casually in low waisted jeans, a pastel pink T-shirt with a pair of sneakers and her jacket in hand.  As she came closer Orlando noticed a glittering at her stomach and he looked closer to see a small jewel at her belly button.  She stopped in front of him as he leaned against the back door of the car looking down at the jewel and then up to her face with a smile.

“Hello.” Tess was not sure if she should kiss him or not, although she wanted to.

“Hello, Love.” Orlando made the decision for her as he reached his hand up to her face as he pushed himself off the car and leaned down to gently touch his lips to hers.  As he pulled back he looked down at her stomach and brushed his fingers across her jewellery.

“I didn’t know you had one of them,” he looked into her eyes.

“There’s a lot you don’t know about me,” she said as he moved his hand to the back of her head and pulled her in for a deeper kiss.  Tess leaned into his warm body as his arm went around her waist, his fingers massaging small circles at her spine just below her waist.

“We better go before I change my mind about taking you out and just take you back to my place,” he told her in a low voice after he pulled back from her.

“Yeah, maybe we better.”  Tess reached up and pulled his yellow baseball hat down over his eyes before she placed her other hand on his stomach and pushed off him.

Tess turned to the car door as Orlando started to lean over to open it for her when his eye caught a flash of colour and he looked down at her back just below her waist.

“You are definitely full of surprises, aren’t you?” he said as he reached out to touch her back.  Just above the waistband of her jeans as if they were running across it Orlando traced his fingers across a small tattoo, less than an inch high, of a herd of six horses galloping.

“Oh that, I had it done a couple of years ago,” Tess was trying hard to sound calm as she felt his fingers trace a line of fire across her back.

“You got any more tattoos or piercings I should know about,” he asked as he leaned forward his mouth next to her ear while his hand still rested on the horse tattoo.  He was trying hard to be good but she was too bloody intriguing and he was becoming more turned on by the minute.

“Only one more,” she told him as she turned slightly and looked up at him.

With Orlando standing only inches from her the electricity between them was almost visible.  Just as he was thinking about where it could possibly be she lifted her right leg and placed her foot on the side of his car before leaning forward to lift the leg of her jeans and pull her bright pink sock down.  Orlando dragged his eyes away from hers and looked down at her ankle to see another small tattoo, this one a series of eight stars entwined in roses to resemble a heart.  The whole thing was only about one inch in height and sat just behind her ankle.

“That’s very pretty.  When did you get that done?”

“I was about seventeen.” She told him as she puts her foot back on the ground and turned to face him.  “Now it’s your turn.”

“For what? Oh, if I have any. The piercings are boring, just my ear twice,” he turned his head to see that his left ear had two holes in it.

“I know about those. What about tats?”

“Just one,” he admitted as he lifted his white and blue check shirt and white T-shirt to reveal a sun burst tattoo situated about two inches below his belly button, slightly off centre to the left.  Tess decided it was time to make him feel as uncomfortable as she had felt and raised her hand to trace her fingers across the tattoo.  She could see the top band of his blue check boxer shorts as his loose black pants had slipped lower to settle on his hips.

“It’s nice, I like it, but didn’t they miss a little, shouldn’t it be around this?” she asked as she ran her fingernail gently up from the tattoo to his belly button making Orlando suddenly draw in his breath as he snatched her hand away and allowed his shirts to drop back down.  She looked up at him with the most innocent look he had seen until he noticed a twitch of a smile and knew that she was not as pure as she was making out.

“You are wicked, aren’t you?” he turned his cap around and pulled her close as she started to laugh.

“Who me? I didn’t do a thing.” She told him as he pushed her up against the door of the car and looked down at her with a grin.

“Oh yeah, you’re an angel, aren’t you.” He moved his mouth down to her neck to kiss her just above her collarbone.

“Yep, that’s me, as pure as the driven snow.” His lips felt wonderful against her skin and she was enjoying their little game.

“I think your snow’s a little dirty, Angel.” He whispered into her ear before kissing her lobe and pushing away from her with his hips causing her to gasp from being pressed between him and the car door.  “Now get in the car so I can take you to lunch otherwise I might forget I’m trying to make a good impression.”

He took hold of her hands to pull her away from the door so he could open it for her and let her in.  After he got in he turned to look at her with a grin before he leaned over to give her a quick kiss and started the car.
